Productions at Berklee

Oscar has been a professor at the world's leading music university, Berklee College of Music, since 1987. Has been a pillar in the effort to diversify and expand the range of studies at Berklee since his arrival. First by establishing and innovating the Latin Bass curriculum, and later through a multitude of stellar productions with world-renowned visiting artists from all over the world, including Rosa Passos, Cachao Lopez, Oscar Castro Neves, Issac Delgado, Guinga, Eva Ayllon, Jorge Drexler, Larry Harlow, Paco de Lucia, Luis Enrique, Gloria Estefan, and Alejandro Sanz.


Berklee Latino and Latin Studies

More recently, he has been appointed Academic Director of Berklee's most ambitious bilingual international outreach program to date, Berklee Latino. The program offers an incomparable experience to explore the roots and branches of Latin music, focusing on compostion, interpretation, and production. The inaugural program was held in Mexico City, with a program in Colombia on the near horizon. He is also the chief advisor for the Latin Studies Program, as well as co-founder of Berklee’s Association of Latin Faculty.
